The Controller 43 is specifically designed for intelligent programming of LED grow lights, UV, IR, RED, and BLUE lights. Kaufgrund:
Mein Anreiz den Controller zu kaufen war in erster Linie ein verlässlicher VPD Wert. Wenn die Umgebung schlecht ist, wächst auch Deine Pflanze schlecht, daher immer Augen auf bei den Umgebungswerten.
Versand:
Die Ware kommt gut und stabil verpackt im neutralen Karton per DHL bei mir an. Es wurden keine Transportschäden festgestellt. Alle Teile sind sicher und stabil verpackt.
Aufbau:
Hat man die Sensoren mit ihrer Gegenstelle an der Unterseite des Controllers verbunden, zeigt dieser zur Bestätigung die aktuell gemessenen Werte an. Es kann mitunter 10 Sek. dauern bis neue Werte geladen werden (Verbesserungspotenzial!). Die Positionierung ist dann von den jeweiligen Prioritäten abhängig.
Einstellung:
Nach dem ersten Einschalten und der WLAN-Einrichtung aktualisiert sich das Gerät selbständig. Blättert man durch die Menüs gelang man schnell zur Seite mit den Alarmeinstellungen, wo man Ober- und Untergrenzwerte manuell einstellen kann. Fällt ein Wert in so einen Grenzbereich ertönt ein Warnton und es wird eine Meldung im Controller aufgezeichnet, die über die Tasten Links und Rechts durchgeblättert werden kann.
Aktuelles Setup:
Bis zum Kauf habe ich mir mit zwei Smart Home Hygrometern beholfen, die jeweils +5°C und +3% RLF abwichen, aber wer schnell den Mittelwert zu errechnen gelernt hat, der kann sich die aktuellen Werte schnell ausrechnen.
Der PPFD Sensor:
Ein schicker kleiner Kasten mit einem Deckel, den man zur Seite drehen kann. So entblößt blickt man auf eine weiße Filterscheibe, die den PPFD Sensor abdeckt. Im Lieferumfang ist ein Teleskoparm mit Schraubgewinde für die Stangenbefestigung enthalten, worauf der Sensor gescheckt und dann festgeschraubt wird. Das Kabel des Sensors wird mit der entsprechenden Buchse auf der Unterseite des Controllers verbunden.
Licht, Temperatur, CO2 und Feuchtigkeits-Sensor:
Der Lichtsensor übermittelt dem Controller ob es Dunkel (Mondsymbol) oder Hell (Sonnensymbol) in der Growbox ist. Temperatur und Feuchtigkeit werden ebenfalls präzise ermittelt. Der CO2 Sensor misst die CO2 Sättigung in PPM.
Alle Sensorwerte können kalibriert und mit Warnungen versehen werden, wie z.B. bei zu hoher Temperatur, zu hoher relativer Luftfeuchtigkeit, zu hohem PPFD und zu hoher CO2 Belastung.
Steckdosen-Funktion:
Ich nutze diese Funktion nicht, daher kann ich dazu nichts sagen.
Positiv:
– Die App stellt die Zeitzone selbst korrekt ein, die Einstellung funktioniert einwandfrei
– Die Sensoren können nachträglich kalibriert werden
– Das Controller-Display kann automatisch nach X Minuten abgeschaltet werden
– Die App läuft stabil
Negativ:
– Obwohl die Werte kontinuierlich ermittelt und fortlaufend angezeigt werden, findet keine Aufzeichnung oder grafische Darstellung der Werte statt, was für viele sehr wichtig ist.
– In der App gibt es kein Dashboard auf der alle aktiven Geräte gruppiert sind. Wer ein Lampe und einen Controller hat der muss zwischen vier Tabs hin und her blättern.
– Die Tabs müssen richtig beschriftet werden, korrekte Deutsche Beschriftungen wurden bereits an den Customer Support geschickt.
– Die Konnektivität der App über WLAN muss optimiert werden. Manchmal verliert die App die Verbindung für Minuten.
Alle diese Vorschläge wurden bereits mit dem Customer Support besprochen. Sie werden geprüft und nach entsprechender Beratung umgesetzt.
Kaufempfehlung?
Ganz klar, JA! Das Gerät läuft aktuell bei mir im Zelt und tut das was es soll, Werte anzeigen. Was Funktionen angeht ist immer der Wunsch das Ziel, aber was das Gerät bislang liefert, ist ok. Warum nur drei Sterne fragt Ihr Euch?
Ganz einfach. Ich finde dass MH mit diesem Controller noch nicht das volle Potenzial seiner Hardware gezeigt hat. Ich denke dass das Gerät nach entsprechenden Updates auch mit professionellen Sensoren mithalten kann.

The functionality of the controller is very handy. You can control temp, humidity, co2, vpd, and ppfd, if you buy all the available sensors. Furthermore there is a power string, iHub-4C, that can be connected to the controller, so youcan configure the on/off time of the sockets on it. I can’t say anything about the other sensors, because I don’ t own them, but the read out values of the temp and humidity are very accurate. So, untill now I am satisfied with the product.

The PPFD sensor is also great and very accurate. I have clamped it on a mobile phone tripod and so I can adjust it exactly to plant height.
I hope that the iHub-4AC will soon be available in the EU shop so that I can control my 3 MarsHydro additional lights (UV, IR, Deep Red).
