    Perfekte Ergänzung für mein iHub Pro System. Besonders die Anzeige der Nährstoffwerte hilft mir, den Düngezeitpunkt besser zu treffen. Die Pflanze zeigt es mir nicht mehr zu spät an. Installation war Plug & Play. Sehr empfehlenswert.

    This little sensor has saved my plants! I was always second-guessing when to water. Now, the app shows me the exact moisture level. I’ve set up an automation with my irrigation, and it waters only when needed. Super accurate and easy to install.

Is it possible to use soil sensor with dwc? is it waterproof? yooyoyo21234 asked on February 9, 2026

The Smart Soil Sensor Kit is designed for soil and substrate-based growing, not for direct monitoring of nutrient solutions in DWC systems. We do not recommend submerging the sensor in water or using it to measure DWC reservoir conditions, as it is not designed for this purpose.

For the best performance, we recommend using the soil sensor with soil, coco, or other growing media, especially with setups like the Mars Hydro Drip Irrigation Kit for precision watering and automated irrigation. We are also developing dedicated EC monitoring solutions for hydroponic systems, which will better meet the needs of DWC growers in the future.

Nein, das Smart Soil Sensor Kit ist für Erde und Substrate entwickelt und nicht für die direkte Überwachung von Nährlösungen in DWC-Systemen geeignet. Wir empfehlen die Verwendung mit erd- oder substratbasierten Anbausystemen.

Ja, der Smart Soil Sensor kann auch für Living Soil verwendet werden. Er überwacht wichtige Bodenparameter wie Feuchtigkeit, Temperatur und EC-Werte und hilft dabei, die Bedingungen im Wurzelbereich besser zu verfolgen.

Currently, a controller can only detect data from one soil sensor.
