Accuracy and Measurement Range
The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14 with a precision of 0.01. The TDS meter provides three sets of data, measured with a precision of 2%, for TDS (0-9990 ppm), EC (0-9990 μs/cm), and temperature (0.1-80.0 ℃ or 32.0-176.0 ℉) within their respective measurement ranges.
Portability is facilitated by the lightweight body, while the LCD screen features backlighting for effortless number reading even in low-light conditions. Correct and accurate readings are ensured at various temperatures through automatic temperature compensation. The “Hold” buttons on the pH and TDS meters lock readings for easy verification and recording. Moreover, to prevent battery wastage, both meters turn off automatically after 2 minutes of non-use.
4 Display Modes Of TDS
With the Mars Hydro TDS meter, growers can obtain 3 distinct sets of data (TDS, EC, Temperature) and conveniently switch between 4 display modes (TDS+Celsius, EC+Celsius, TDS+Fahrenheit, EC+Fahrenheit) to access the precise information they need.
Calibration of pH Meter
The Mars Hydro TDS & pH meter combo comes equipped with 3 pH calibration buffers, designed to assist growers in calibrating the pH meter when it has been utilized excessively or for an extended duration. For calibration, the buffers should be added separately to pure water, followed by insertion of the pH meter and pressing a button. The pH meter then automatically calibrates itself, with a detailed guide available in the user manual.
*To ensure accurate readings, avoid immersing the meters beyond the immersion line in water or solutions.
*Both the pH and TDS meters readings stabilize within 5 seconds, except for TDS readings of pure water, which may take 3 to 5 minutes.
*After use, clean the meters with distilled water and put on the protective cap.
*It is not necessary to calibrate the meters frequently, as they are already calibrated prior to packaging.
